Rueben could'nt help but feel slightly nervous about the intern home. Noah was able to talk to him while he was in the hospital and Delilah happened to be the deciding factor that he was going to stay in Las Vegas. So in a way he knew what was expected, but the young man couldnt help but wonder how they were going to help him harnass his gifts. Noah was able to show him what he was capable of doing~ impressive as it was it wasn't like his own.

" ...you k-know I've never been in a limo b-before." The young man chuckled nervously and peaked over at his only friend at this moment. They were in the back seat of the stretch limo that was climbing the pathway to the intern home. He was surprised how many houses were actually in Las Vegas. The only thing you really heard about was the casinos, shows and tours. Now that he was planning on staying that was going to be on his to do list. There was really nothing he could do back at home so in a way it was overwhelming that there was suddenly so much he could do!

"So.. wait, are we staying there?" Rueben looked through the tinted window and saw the intern home coming up. " Richter... really knows people doesn't he?" He chuckled again and shifted in his seat. The young man felt his heart racing from anticipation, how were the people going to be inside? Did all of them have gifts like himself and Delilah? How were they all going to help them practice their gifts? So many questions filled his head it felt like he was going to burst. Still, he told himself to take a deep breath and relax.

" Do you think we our rooms will be close to each other?" Rue asked with an anxious smile, Delilah seemed to be his only security and he didnt want to let that go since he was afterall a complete stranger in the new city. He had no idea where anything was so he had to just go in blindly. Rueben still couldnt believe he was doing this, even though he had it rough in the past he knew the only way to go was up. As long as he had his friend with him, he knew he would be okay.

Delilah wasn't sure how to categorize the feelings she had about the idea of staying with a group of others who were close to Richter. It felt like she was treading on rough waters and would use up her stay quickly. However, she tried her best to keep those feelings to herself since she didn't want to alarm Rueben. Maybe it was because she hadn't mentioned to him exactly who Richter was since it could result in him feeling uncomfortable about the entire situation.

"Neither have I." She said quietly and gazed out the window, watching the homes pass by as they drove down the different streets. "It's very roomy don't you think?" Delilah asked and looked over to Rueben and gave him a smile for reassurance. Her eyes panned over to the house when they arrived and it wasn't anything like what she thought it would be. "...he must have made a lot of new friends." She said to herself more than Rueben and then pulled herself out of her thoughts and back to the present to give her friend more of her attention.

"I do hope so. It's difficult when you're put with people you don't know. But we'll do it together and make new friends." The female told him and patted his forearm gently. "Do you find this exciting? Your adventure has begun and now you'll be able to write out your own story like you told me you wanted to do."

"Oh? y-yeah! you bet! Im uh.. little shakey but Its just butterflies in my stomach. Its like what they said, uhm...Journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step" Rueben confirmed and shifted in his seat again, the house now in front of them as the limo came to a gradual stop by the drive way. " luckily we don't have much to bring with us, right?" The boy chuckled nervously and reached for the only thing he had with him; his anthology book.

From afar, he saw the double doors open and another young man started to jog their way over to meet them. " ...alright then" He pepped himself and took a deep breath before glancing over towards Delilah with a grin. " Here goes nothing. "

A young man casually jogged over towards the stretch limo and the boy came to a casual stop. The intern was dressed pretty comfortably, black sandals, gray gym shorts and a dark blue Las Vegas fire fighters shirt. His body frame was now bulky from the times he's been hittin the gym but a friendly smile was on his face nonetheless. He reached to open the door for the new members and his green eyes landed on Rueben first before glancing over to the female.

" Hey there, you guys must be the new guys. I'm Nathan. " He chuckled and took a step back to let them out before holding his hand out to shake both their hands.

He shook the interns hand but made sure to keep his book by his side. " N-nice to meet you uhm, I'm uh~"

"Rueben?" Nate asked, knowing he got to peak at the files since he was going to lead the tour. " And you must be Delilah? Welcome, welcome!"

Delilah took a deep breath and followed suit, stepping out of the limousine after Rueben and shaking the stranger's hand. "Yes that's us. It's nice to meet you." She told him but was a bit on the timid side keeping her hands folded in front of her and her shoulders down. She didn't have any belongings in fact she couldn't wait to take a hot shower and lay down since all she'd done since she left Roswell was sit in cars or the hospital chair.

"We heard that you're friends of Richter's and he's given us the opportunity to stay with you. I hope that we can help out around here to earn our keep." She said and her eyes traveled away from Nate to look behind him at the house which was large and beautiful. "This is a lovely home you have here." She shifted her weight from one foot to the other and then looked back at Nate and offered him a polite smile.

" Oh you like it!?" He said eyeing the intern house he had been in for more than a year now. " yeah it kinda gives you a wow factor when you first see it. Well uh, let me do the proper introductions. Like I mentioned before I'm Nathan. I'm a member of the intern house just like you two will be. Now keep in mind, not everyone gets an invitation here just like that. you gotta know people, that or you gotta really wow someone." Nate chuckled and started to slowly make his way up the pathway to the double doors of the intern home. " follow me please."

Nate cleared his throat and started to sway with his steps, showing both of them he was a rather playful person. " You'll be recieving your keycards to enter, doors are always open during the day but as soon as its dark they automatically lock. So please dont lose them, put em in your wallet.. your purse, your shoes, turn it to a necklace, whatever. "

Rueben peaked over towards Delilah and offered a geniune smile, when Nate started talking he couldnt help but laugh a little from his antics. He was still slightly nervous, but the intern was helping him calm down alot. " fancy" He said simply when he saw the key readers.

" Yeah everythings kinda up to date" Nate halted at the doors and pointed to the open garage. " thats the garage, same keycard will open it if you need it. When you get in, youll see its like a parking garage. Just follow it down till you get to the lower levels. Theres several cars you can borrow, the ones WITHOUT the lion sticker means the car really belongs to someone. Keep in mind, there is a silver stingray down there? DONT touch it. " The reaper cocked a single brow at Rue but was still smiling.

" Wait, we.. we can borrow cars?"

" Its part of the perks of living here. Also, theres no rent. always a stocked kitchen, you'll meet Evan and Cyle later on but theyre the chefs of the house. However, yours truly can grill a mean bbq" Nate gave a cheesy grin before opening the door that would lead them to the large waitingroom where several couches, chairs, paintings, statues and the fire place that seemed to be always lit for atmosphere. " Welcome home "

Just inside the house, Noah was sitting on one of the couches, the large TV on across from him and he looked at least somewhat focused on The Daily Show. When the front door opened to reveal Nate leading the two new people in, he looked up and smiled towards them brightly. He leaned forward to set down a bowl of chips that he'd been munching on and got up, dusting his hands off on his jeans as he approached Rueben and Delilah. "Heyyy," he called out in a soft, almost meekish voice. "You guys made it, that's great!"

He looked towards the two of them before looking back at Nate. "Nate giving you the grand tour? He's one of the best for that," he commented, teasing the reaper a little bit. "What's he shown you guys so far?" In a way, it was a sort of dumb question, since they'd just come in from the front door, but in Noah's mind it was valid, in case Nate told them anything ahead of actually seeing it. It was sort of the leader's way of getting a sense of how the reaper ran the tour these days. "If you get hungry on the way, make him stop by the kitchen for some snacks. Cyle left out a bunch of chicken wings and sandwiches for the guys watching the game or something."

"There's a lot of others who live here?" Delilah asked and her eyes darted over to Rueben for a moment before back to Nate. "I know there was a few who lived here but it sounds like there's much more than just a few. I was just curious." She told him and wrapped her arms around her body to bring herself into a little embrace. Something she did when she was nervous or feeling a little uncomfortable. It was a new place and it would be a new experience for her. She kept smiling politely even though she felt a bit of a tug on her heart, feeling out of her comfort zone since the rest of her kind were gone and knew that it wouldn't be long until she felt homesick.

When they headed inside the house and she looked around she couldn't hide the amazement at how beautiful it was decorated inside. Delilah heard Noah's voice and she looked over to him and waved a little to him. "Hello Noah, yes Nate is being really helpful." She nodded and then let her eyes wander again wondering which direction was to the kitchen and if they would have a fresh pot of coffee brewing or not. "Thank you that sounds wonderful."

" Pfft, I'm like.. -THE- best tour guide ever. " Nate snorted and crossed his arms in front of his chest. He had a goofy grin the whole time and watched as the newbies talked to Noah. He knew they were recruited by the new leader and maybe seeing a familiar face would help comfort them.

" You may not know so this is strictly for your 411, Noah here was just recently promoted to be one of the leads in the house. So if you have questions, comments concerns feel free to bother him as much as you want. " nate stuck his tongue out playfully. " You'll see him alot after the sim runs trust me, besides being a house lead he's also our house medic. So problems regarding health, wounds infections weird ass rashes that you have no idea where you got it from, feel free to ask him too. "

Rueben couldnt help but smile to himself from Nates comment, afterwards he tilted his head curiously at the reaper from what he mentioned. " Sim run?"

" Simulators, that way you can practice on controlling your uh.. gifts without hurting people. Youll see it on the way. speaking of way, lets go.. THIS WAY " He pointed his fingers pass the front room and towards the kitchen. " As you will see, there are ~ "

"Two refridgerators?!" Rueben stated and saw the giant kitchen, he chuckled at himself for what he said before glancing over towards Delilah and nudging her. " I'm starting to get hungry.. "

" we'll get some food in you after the tour, often times youll see a batch of brownies just sitting on the counter. IT. IS. TAINTED. " Nate muttered and looked at the other two with a serious expression. " Unless you want to be high as a kite, dont eat it. "

"Weird ass rashes that you don't know where they came from? Is there, like, something you're not telling me about, Nate?" Noah asked in a playfully soft tone before turning back towards Delilah and Rueben. "I'll see you both later. Let me know if you ever need anything, alright?" he requested with a friendly smile as he started to head back towards the couch to finish watching his show.

Cyle walked into the kitchen from out back, wearing only his swimming trunks and a pair of sunglasses. He was completely dry, yet he had no towel with him. "Whoa," he said, with a somewhat surprised look on his face. "Hey guys," he called out, with a small wave, shooting a look over towards Nate, wanting to be sure that these two knew what kind of house it was here. He'd read something about a couple of new people coming in, but he didn't know who or when, so, he played it a little safe at least to start with. "And, yeah, those brownies... free for anyone, but... don't go drivin' or nothin' until after you know how it's going to hit you, you know?" he said, moving in towards the kitchen and pulling up his sunglasses to set on top of his messy, curly hair that looked like it just got out of a pool and rapidly dried without any sort of styling.

Delilah was silent for the most part just absorbing all the information she could from the house and from their tour guide. It was all very fascinating to see how it ran and although she'd heard about college dorms she'd never had the privilege to experience it herself. She'd only lived with one human in all her time there, otherwise she'd been on her own above her little restaurant or with Plato and Mr. Tokk. It would definitely take time to adjust to the new scenario she had been given knowing it was the only logical choice.

When they got to the kitchen she couldn't help but smile a little bit at Rueben's excitement about there being two refrigerators. "This is a beautiful kitchen." She said and looked around knowing all she really needed to know the location of was the coffee pot in the kitchen and she spotted it and knew she'd be just fine. At the mention of the brownies her brows raised in question. "That is interesting that you leave them out like that." Of course she knew what he meant by the brownies but she'd never been 'high' so to speak and it caught her interest.

Meeting another boy, this one in swim trunks she began to feel a little intimidated. Was the entire household filled with males? She was beginning to think so and she hoped that she wouldn't be the only female there. She'd always been surrounded by males as they were the more dominant ones of her species they were always in charge. "Hello it's nice to meet you." Delilah offered politely to the blonde boy.

Through the open back door a large wolf came barreling into the house, barking angrily and snapping at the air. It growled and ran past them and down the halls.

"For christ's sake Eric get back here!" Evan wasn't far behind and came into the house, glanced over towards the group of them and nodded. "Hey guys." He said before he dashed after the mongrel.

"......." Delilah watched thinking the beast was going to attack them but it ran straight by and then another male chased after it as if it were no big deal. "Is that a pet you have here?" She asked and wrapped her arms around herself giving herself a tight hug.

The boy leaned forward on the counter, clearly looking like he was relaxed. "Well, it's not a secret what they are, and everyone here's old enough to make their own decision," he replied with a shrug and friendly smile. "I'm Cyle," he finally introduced, going ahead and just making the guess that these were the new people. "I'm guessing you're the new people?" he asked, still wanting to be a little careful at least.

That was.... until an enormous brown wolf started to barrel through the house, closely followed and chased by Evan. He stood back, just getting out of Eric's way at the moment, his eyes a little wide. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he was starting to wonder again how Eric still made it through doors in his wolf form! He glanced back over at the new girl and raised a brow. "Actually..." he glanced over at Nate for a second, "Not exactly," he said with a light chuckle before trying to change the subject. "Any of you guys hungry? I got some chicken wings ready, or I can make something up for you if you want..." he offered in an attempt to have them at least temporarily forget about the wolf until they were a little more settled.

Delilah was still trying to wrap her head around what had just happened. It was all so quick and she was trying to process it in her mind. Her eyes moved over to look at Rueben so she could gauge his reaction, almost as if he was her newest target to figure out in her studies.

The front door opened and then shut again. "I'm back bitches!" Came the call from the front entryway. Ray, who had taken a leave of absence to get her head straightened back on came in with a backpack slung over her shoulder. She still had a suitcase in the car but it could wait. She made her way towards the kitchen where she saw Nate and Cyle with a couple of strangers. "Hey! How's it hanging, Ace?" The girl asked and came up beside Nate so she could slug him in the arm before moving past them and towards the fridge. She was thirsty!

Rueben for the most part couldnt believe how active the house was, when he entered the kitchen his baby blue eyes landed on the brownies in the corner and not a moment too a soon a boy in trunks came in. High as a Kite? The statement that Nate said was the piece of the puzzle that brought it all together. The brownies were loaded with drugs! Pot wasnt really a drug though, not like meth or needles or anything. The boy was offered some during his highschool years but much like today he was very soft spoken. He wanted to try it, but he was scared at the same time. maybe.. one night when no ones looking he might take a bite just to see how it is?

The young man was about to say something but was caught off when a giant brown wolf ran by and not long after another male. It was safe to assume that the others were room mates and Rueben couldnt help but feel butterflies at the fact that he would have to meet every one of them eventually. It wasnt a bad thing, its just Rueben didnt want to feel like a complete idiot if he made things awkward.

When Cyle introduced himself he reached over to rub the back of his neck nervously and offered a friendly smile. " Y-yeah I'm.. i'm Rueben and this is my friend Delilah. we uh, yeah.. we're the new guys I .. I guess. " He chuckled and looked over towards the female, giving her a look that they were in this together.

" Yeaaaahh, not exactly pets. " Nate shrugged. " Werewolves, we got a couple of those. Also demons, angels uhm... mystics? No vampires, but we do have a couple of friends who are. " The reaper added. " we even have a demi god, aint that right Cyle?" He said nodding towards the boy in the kitchen.

" Demigod? as in, the mythology?" Rueben asked with a curious tone and looked over to Cyle. " Those were one of my favorite genres to read when I was younger, tale of hercules, the oddysey, greek legends and myths. "

" then youll be wanting to see the library "

Cyle gave a wave to both of the newbies. "Make yourselves at home, guys," he told them both with a light chuckle as he stood up fully while Ray entered the room. It was always a little awkward talking to her because she said and did the strangest things. "'Sup Ray, where you been?" he asked curiously, not having been privy to that information before.

At the mention of demigods, he couldn't help but look up, slight smile on his face as his eyes shifted between Nate and Rueben. "You forget to mention reapers," he teased, nudgeing Nate back before getting a glass of water. "So, you've heard of some of us?" he asked Rueben in a teasing voice as he handed the glass of water over to the boy. It was at room temperature, but as soon as it was in Rueben's hand, it started to cool dramaticly, as if there were ice cubes inside it, and, in fact, a few seconds later, there were; perfectly formed and sitting right on the top of it. Cyle grinned widely as he watched Rueben's expression, actually feeling kind of good about showing off. He didn't do that much anymore, but it was still kind of fun.

"What's up water boy?" Ray asked and reached into the fridge and pulled out one of Pheobe's peace teas and looked it over. "..berry? You got it." She said to herself and shut the fridge going over to lean against Cyle and look at the strangers. "Who are they?" She asked and nodded towards them and drank the tea. Pheebs wouldn't notice if one was gone, right? She took another sip and although the can was full she started to make slurping noises.

Delilah was amazed at how many different types of people they had in one household. She'd heard about superiors through the news and even spotted a few passing through Roswell who weren't as conservative in their abilities as others were. But up until now she had never imagined so many in one area living together. "It's so nice that everyone lives together and so far you all seem very friendly." She nodded and then her eyes moved over to look at Rueben again almost as if he were her safety net in a way. "I think we'll do just fine adapting and getting along with everyone." The mention of a library piqued her curiosity almost as much as it did Rueben's. She knew he loved to read and his ability was based around books. "A library? Can we go see that next?" She asked Nate politely.

"Oh I get it." Ray said still leaning on Cyle and looking at him with a bored look on her face. "Fresh meat day. We got new kids on the block!" The reaper said loudly knowing she hadn't been given the news probably because she hadn't been home. "Hey Cyle you haven't seen Hester around lately have you? The idiot I had watching him threw him out a window and now I can't find the little bastard."

When the water froze in his hand the boys jaw dropped, how did he?! Did Cyle do that?! Of course he did, the whole house was filled with superiors. Still, seeing it happen right in front of his face was amazing! It was like a magic trick, only better since it was real!

Rueben continued to keep a friendly smile on his face the whole time, when Delilah talked he peaked over to see her expression and felt better that she was comfortably talking to other people. When Ray came in, his eyes lingered on her for a moment just so he could get her features in. She had a dark yet quirky look to her and the young man couldnt help but think that was interesting. Her mannerisms matched and when Ray caught gaze with him he gave a nervous gulp and averted his eyes so he was looking at his old vans.

" What up crazy? Haven't seen the bear walking around here for awhile. Usually he hides up in the shelves holding plastic forks."

" ..theres a bear holding plastic forks?" Rueben asked with a soft tone and peaked over at Nate with a confused look.

" Not a real bear, thats just silly" Nate snorted. " Its a walking teddy bear. If you see any dolls or anything walking around its hers" The reaper acted as if it happened everyday, in fact.. it DID! " ALRIGHT!" Nate clapped his hands together. "Drink your water, and LETS go! we're going to have to go through the dorms to get to the library, I'll point out your rooms along the way."

The new intern nodded towards Nates orders and took a gulp from the icey cold cup. it was refreshing! a smile crept back on his face as he offered the drink towards his friend. If she didnt take it, he was going to finish it up and place it on the counter before following Nate to the dorm halls. " uhm..b-bye. ill see you guys around." Rueben waved to the other interns and followed the guide

Delilah watched with interest as Nate talked to the girl and then mentioned the stuffed animal. It was all a new experience and even she found that odd. "A teddy bear?" She asked and then her attention was directed to the glass. She put a hand up and shook her head lightly to decline, a small little smile on her face. "No thank you, Rueben." She said softly and politely and began to follow after Nate.

"Such interesting characters in this house." She remarked about the people she'd just met and realized that although she didn't feel like it at the moment, she would probably fit in better than she would have expected. Delilah glanced over towards Rueben, realizing she was fidgeting with her hands and decided to loop her arm in his and place her free hand on his forearm, as if they were guiding each other. She did it more just for emotional stability on her part than anything else. "And it is certainly beautiful." She said once again knowing she'd already said that. But it was. The house was gorgeously decorated and for its size was furnished. It was more luxurious than anything she'd ever set foot in on Earth.
